Dungeness Crab Roll: A recipe by Carmelita Seafood

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh Dungeness crab meat, cooked and picked
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 brioche rolls, split and lightly toasted
  • Butter for toasting rolls
  • Lettuce leaves for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Crab Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the Dungeness crab meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and chopped chives. Gently mix until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Toast the Rolls: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter. Place the brioche rolls cut-side down in the skillet and toast until golden brown and crisp.

  3. Assemble the Rolls: Line each toasted roll with a lettuce leaf (if using) and generously spoon the crab mixture into the rolls.

  4. Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately while the rolls are still warm. These Dungeness Crab Rolls pair perfectly with a side of fresh salad or crispy fries.
