Ahi Tuna Tacos
Enjoy a fresh and flavorful twist on taco night with these Ahi Tuna Tacos. One of the many ahi tuna recipes we love to share. Perfectly seared Ahi tuna, creamy avocado, and crunchy cabbage come together in warm tortillas for a meal that's both delicious and easy to make.
Ingredients:
- 8 oz Ahi tuna steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup red cabbage, shredded
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- Corn or flour tortillas
- Spicy mayo or your favorite sauce
Instructions:
1. Season the Tuna
Rub the Ahi tuna steak with olive oil, salt, pepper, and chili powder if desired.
2. Sear the Tuna
Heat a pan over high heat. Sear the tuna for 1-2 minutes on each side until the outside is browned but the inside remains rare. Remove from the pan and let it rest for a minute.
3. Slice the Tuna
Thinly slice the seared tuna.
4. Assemble the Tacos
Warm the tortillas until crispy, then layer with slices of Ahi tuna, avocado, shredded red cabbage, and cilantro.
5. Add the Sauce
Drizzle with spicy mayo or your favorite sauce.
6. Serve
Squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos and serve immediately.
